Dr. Daniel Fortin

Dr. Daniel Fortin is a Professor in the Dépt. de biologie at Université Laval and holds the NSERC-Université Laval Industrial Research Chair in Silviculture and Wildlife. He studies mechanisms underpinning animal distributions in boreal landscapes from trophic interactions, food-web dynamics, and behaviour including resource selection and responses to human disturbance.

Fortin maintains a research program on Plains bison in Prince Albert National Park, SK and is a co-member of ECCC’s Species Advisory Group on Boreal Caribou.
