Community Engagement
Presently we are engaging with communities and developing a proposal to study and assess risks to wildlife in northern Saskatchewan
This includes strategies to stop the transmission of chronic wasting disease (CWD) into Canada’s caribou herds, and balancing healthy moose populations with that of CWD-free caribou.
Partnership
In October of 2023 we developed a partnership with the Ministry of Environment and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine
With this partnership, we hosted a CWD sample-gathering workshop with the Northern Saskatchewan Trappers Association. This is planned to be the first of many such engagements.
