Dr. Emily Jenkins is a Professor in the Dept. of Vet. Micro. at USask’s Western College of Veterinary Medicine and the head of the WCVM Zoonotic Parasite Research Unit. She is a Joint Member of the School of Public Health and Assoc. Member of the Canadian Cooperative Wildlife Health Centre.
Her research involves the biology and epidemiology of zoonotic diseases; impacts of climate change on the ecology of diseases at the interface of public and animal health; and emerging risks to country food security and safety in the Canadian North.
Her lab is suited for work involving parasites including meningeal worm, a parasite of concern in Canadian moose populations.
